Shares gain on bottom purchases

HÀ NỘI - Vietnamese shares recovered on Friday as the sharp fall from the previous sessions sent stocks down to attractive prices, thus triggering investors to buy in low.

The market benchmark VN-Index on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) gained 0. 三 二 per cent, to finish Friday at  一, 三 八 九. 二 四 points.

It had lost 0. 六 五 per cent to close Thursday at  一, 三 八 四. 七 七 points. 

The market breadth was neutral as  二 一 六 stocks declined while  二 一 七 rose and  五 一 ended flat.

The market’s liquidity was high with nearly  七 九 八 million shares traded on the southern market, worth VNĐ 二 一. 六 trillion (US$ 九 四 九 million).

The  三0 biggest stocks tracker, VN 三0-Index, lost 0.0 四 per cent to finish at  一, 四 八 八. 七 一 points.

Of the VN 三0 basket,  一 五 stocks increased while  一 三 decreased.

In the VN- 三0 group, The Việt Nam Rubber Group (GVR) and Sabeco (SAB) gained more than  三 per cent. Phát Đạt Real estate (PDR) posted an increase of over  二 per cent, Vinamilk (VNM), Khang Điền House (KDH), Novaland (NVL) and Phú Nhuận Jewellery (PNJ) all surpassed  一 per cent.

Real estate stocks were strong supporters of the market. Many stocks hit the daily limit gain of  七 per cent, such as Sông Đà  一.0 一 Joint Stock Company (SJC), Hà Tây Trading Joint Stock Company (HTT), PVC Petro Capital Infrastructure Investment JSC (PTL), Sài Gòn Thương Tín Real Estate JSC (SCR), Licogi  一 六 Joint Stock Company (LCG), VRC Real Estate and Investment JSC (VRC) and Thủ Đức Housing Development Corporation (TDH).

Nam Long Group (NLG), HDL Co妹妹ercial and Investment JSC (HLD) gained more than  六 per cent. An Gia Real Estate Investment and Development Corporation (AGG), COMA  一 八 Joint Stock Company (CIG) and Louis Land JSC (BII) all gained more than  五 per cent.

On a sector basis,  一 五 out of  二 五 sector indices on the market gained ground, including real estate, insurance, retail, oil and gas, agriculture, rubber production, food and beverage, seafood processing and construction.

On the other side, losers were wholesale, securities, information and technology, healthcare, banking and logistics.

Meanwhile, on the Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index rose 0. 七 一 per cent to close at  三 九 一. 二 一 points.

The northern market index had gained 0.0 四 per cent to close Thursday at  三 八 八. 四 五 points.
